Saying YES to the Great Adventure

I’m not sure many people can comprehend why I am not living my dream- solely practicing as a counselor. I have every capacity and opportunity. I am licensed. I obeyed what God placed on my heart 11 years ago. So why am I not living it out? What is wrong with me? These are the questions many people ask me.

My response: I hold onto one little thing God told me when I was having a freak out moment- about my future. He grounded me instantly.

“Kierstin, my plan for you is greater than your wildest imagination.”

My dreams pale in comparison to what God has in store. But that is only when I let go of my control and my expectations and lean fully into God’s promises.

Living life in the Spirit is not about knowing what comes next. Truthfully- I have no idea.

But I do know I am on a great adventure with God and saying yes to Him is better than any plan I could cook up or path I could imagine for myself. I know this to be true.

It isn’t something people are going to understand until or unless they have said yes to God’s Great Adventure. It isn’t something I could adequately describe or do justice to; it simply is something you must experience for yourself.

God is greater than we even know. But He reveals himself to us- when we are ready to know and experience Him.

But all of this, starts with saying yes- laying down our control and great expectations and letting him be God.

Greatness is just His character- He can’t be anything but- that is just who He is.

So, if we know this truth, then we can trust His way!

I only fully joined this adventure a few years ago- but God is true, faithful, and trustworthy- better than we even know.

Say yes and join in on this great adventure with Him.

For He is GREATER than our wildest imaginations can fathom.
